Broadband leaders from the California Public Utilities Commission and California Department of Technology are working with local and regional entities to advance connectivity for residents throughout the state.

On November 18th, the Governor’s Office announced the initial 18 broadband projects that will begin to comprise the middle-mile network. These initial projects span areas of need across the state, including rural, tribal, and urban communities.
As the TPA, CENIC California MMBI is the partner responsible for developing the fiber network, creating rural exchange points, and collaborating with the California Public Utilities Commission and CalTrans.
